八食センター内にある炭火焼きレストラン。センター内の卸問屋などで魚介類を買って、ショバ代と七輪の使用料を支払えばこちらで海鮮の屋内BBQが楽しめるって寸法です。
地酒と刺身をつまんだ後だったのですが、腹にはまだまだ余裕があるので、焼きホタテ目当てに入店しみることに。利用客は半数以上が観光客のようですね。平日の利用でしたが、やはりそれなりに客入りはいい。
ホタテ、カキ、サザエなど2200円余を購入して、いざ網の上に。ホタテはプリプリ、肉厚で焼くと生とはまた違った旨味が出てくる。カキも見事。これを辛めの地酒と合わせる。なかなかオツなBBQだ。煙を上げて焼き上げるのがよくて、酒も食も進む。
典型的な観光客向けの飲食店という感じですが、初めてなら立ち寄って損はない。お日さまが照ってる時間帯から炭火で新鮮な海鮮を香ばしく焼いて、辛口の純米酒をぐっとあおるなんてすてきです。ごちそうさまでした。
