この日は朝、浄土ヶ浜パークホテルを出て、そのまま三陸海岸を北上し種差海岸を通り八戸経由で家内の実家の二戸に向かった。途中、お墓によって、家内の実家でお昼を食べて、それからまた八戸に戻ってきた。当初は二戸のホテルに宿泊する予定だったが、この日に熊坂先生と会えることになったので、ホテルを変更した。何処のホテルが良いか分からなかったが、このホテルはデカそうなので駐車場が大きだろうというのが選択理由だった。
さて、ホテルに着いてみると、流石に古いホテルだ。しかし、ホテルにはエスカレーターがあり、一階から二階へは動いている。内装は古いが掃除は行き届いていて汚い感じはしない。部屋も古い部屋だが、ビジネスホテルのように狭苦しいイメージは無い。当日、ネットで予約したが料金は二人で¥6,000円だった。本当は朝御飯をここで食べたかったのだが、次の日は朝6時出発予定だったので朝食は諦めたが、ネットを見ると美味しそうだったので、機会があれば今度は是非、このホテルの朝御飯を食べてみたい。
