2020年末、所用あっての千葉小遠征。締めはこちらでの夕食でした。まさに行って良かった、と思える素晴らしさ。千葉に行くならこちらへ是非、とお勧めしたいお店です。
土曜日の20時に予約して行きました。1Fと2Fともお店らしいですが、私は1人予約なので1Fのカウンター席へ。女将さんがフレンドリーに接客してくださり、コースで料理が提供されます。
千葉の郷土料理があるのか、という関東に住んでいながらの発見だったのですが、特に海産物系の素材や野菜に恵まれる千葉ならではの素材のパワーを活かした料理の数々に唸らされました。
千葉の味コースだったのですが、この日は年末ということもありお節の小鉢も提供していただき、その味もまた素晴らしかったです。
太巻き祭り寿司から始まり、これぞ千葉という茹で落花生、風呂吹き大根、九十九里特産の貝・ながらみ、さんが焼と続き、どれも美味しいのと、千葉の地酒を女将さんにセレクトしてもらっていただくとそのクオリティも相まって満足度が高まります。
そして極めつけはなめろうです。こんななめろう、今まで食べたことないレベルの素晴らしいクオリティで、魚が苦手な子供でも食べられるとのことでした。いや逆に、今まで食べてたなめろうは何だったんだと。美味しすぎました。
その後もイワシのごま漬け、お酒にぴったりの房総一夜干し三品、柿を模した甘味の後、締めは蕎麦で、年越し蕎麦までいただいてしまいました。全部隙のないクオリティでした。
聞けば、女将さんはソムリエの資格もお持ちとか。確かにワインのセレクトもクオリティ重視でワイン好きなら目を引いてしまうラインナップ。この時は千葉の地酒ということで日本酒を選んでしまいましたが、ワインを合わせても良さそうです。
そして、東京出店の話などもオファーもらうようですが、やはりこの地でないと素材が新鮮な状態で手に入りにくいとのことで、やはり揺るぎない仕事をするために手抜かりなく向き合っておられるのだとその辺りも感銘を受けました。
方々食べ歩いている私ですが、こうした発見はとても嬉しい出会いです。繰り返しになりますが千葉に行かれるなら是非お勧めしたいお店の筆頭だと思っています。
