2022年8月2日（火）昼食。
午前中は千葉市稲毛区で仕事。終わって、バスで稲毛駅まで戻って、総武線で千葉駅まで行った。さてどこで食事をするか……。検索してもまったくアイディアが出てこなかったので、今日は店名に興味を持ったこの店に行ってみた。僕は平和軒とか平和園とかに弱いのだ。
千葉駅から歩いて栄町に。栄町（笑）。ものすごく暑い中を。日陰を選んで歩いて。栄町の交差点からすぐの、ハミングロードパルサのこの店に。看板が出ていなくて、看板代わりのバナーも、ガラスの引き戸の後方にあってほぼ見えなかった。あとで確認すると「戦後創業」と書いてあった。昭和20年代の創業なのだろう。
12時35分くらいで、先客は3人。おすすめ定食の、白板のいちばん上に書いてある、銀鮭の切身フライ（720円）を注文した。
ＢＧＭ代わりにラジオが流れていた。店はお母さんと、30～40代くらいの男性とで運営しているみたいだった。カウンター席の女性客は常連なのかな。お母さんと会話していた。
やがてお母さんが運んで来た鮭フライ。タルタルソース付き。口に運ぶと、がりっという食感で、えっと驚いたが、鮭はとろっとしていて、なかなかにおいしかった。上手に揚げられていた。味噌汁はどんぴしゃり。最高とか絶品とかではなくて、ちょうど良い味噌汁だった。
会計。暑いのでお気を付けてとお母さん。お母さんもねと僕。今日のランチはこの店で良かった。猛暑の中、栄町のソープランド街のど真ん中をずんずんと歩いて千葉駅に向かった。立ち止まることなく。振り返ることなく（本当は一度振り返った）。
