La Capital is a restaurant on the first floor of the building with a large window from which you can see the Spanish flag. The restaurant is spacious and stylish, and you can enjoy Spanish Cuisine and |
The other day, I went to this Spanish Cuisine restaurant on my way home from work. [b:La Capital]. It's about a 3-minute walk from Keisei Chiba Station. It might take a little longer from Chiba Station. It's past SOGO, in the direction of the monorail heading towards Chiba Port. The restaurant is in an alley with a Lawson? Actually, this area has quite a few good restaurants, such as Italian Cuisine restaurants with a nice atmosphere. After work, I wanted to eat something luxurious today. I also wanted to drink a little wine, so I went to this restaurant. This is Spanish Cuisine. Actually, the area around Chiba Station is a Spanish Cuisine sparsely populated area. Even if you search for "Chiba Station x Spanish Cuisine", the only thing that comes up is this restaurant or [a:12019767, Spanish Cuisine muyrico]. It's not easy. It's around such a big terminal station (it has up to 10 platforms and is connected to other monorail and Keisei stations), but... Do Chiba residents not eat Spanish Cuisine very often? [u:By the way, they do lunch, but they don't serve paella. If you want to eat paella, please come at night.] Anyway, I ordered [b:House wine white 480 yen x 2 Jamon Serrano 1000 yen Duck aioli potatoes 680 yen (what was on the blackboard) Mixed paella 2400 yen]. First, [b:Wine by the glass]. Since this is a Spanish Cuisine, they have several kinds of Spanish wine by the bottle, but for some reason, the wine by the glass is only Australian wine. Well, there are some delicious ones, so I'm not saying that Australian wine is bad, but both the red and white were Heartleaf, and the sparkling wine was Polestar. All of them are so-called business-use wines handled by Sapporo. If that's the case, I think it would be nice to be able to choose at least one type of Spanish wine for each. It's a bit disappointing that you can't order Cava by the glass even though it's a Spanish Cuisine. The white wine I drank this time tasted like lemon, and was refreshing with a strong acidity. I don't think it's that good. [b: Jamon Serrano] is Prosciutto that comes to mind when you think of Spain! I ate a lot of it when I went to Spain, and it's probably a staple dish that's eaten at Spanish Cuisine. Originally, jamon means ham and serrano means mountain. It seems that the name comes from the fact that it was made in mountainous areas in Spain. Generally, the ones made in Trevelez and Teruel are famous, but this one didn't have any details. [u:The taste is Prosciutto with a strong salty taste, like Jamon Serrano. Jamon Serrano is different from Italian prosciutto in that the skin is removed, then salted and dried, so the saltiness is strong and penetrates the meat. Also, I think the aging period is relatively longer than prosciutto. It was delicious with a strong umami flavor. It goes well with wine♪ It's quite tasty. ] Next, [b: Duck Aioli Potatoes], and it seems that there are usually aioli potatoes without duck meat (looking at the main menu), but there was one with duck meat, so I tried that. I love duck meat. The duck meat is smoked and has a nice flavor. The aioli sauce is a Catalan sauce, so it's a Spanish specialty here. It's made with garlic, egg yolk, olive oil, etc. I like the aioli sauce too. The potatoes are fluffy and have a nice texture! The duck meat is also delicious! The flavor of the aioli sauce was perfect. There is a lot of it, so I recommend it. Finally, there is the [b:Mixed Paella]. [u:Paella starts at two servings due to the plate. I think there were about three types of paella? There were also other types such as fideuá. It's a proper Spanish Cuisine. This is a mix. The waiter told me it would take about 30 minutes to make, so I asked for it in advance. In addition to shrimp, squid, mussels, clams, and chicken, there are also things like paprika and kinusaya. It's quite hearty♪ The seafood broth is well-seasoned, and the vegetables are crispy. The rice is cooked just right. I don't know if it was bomba rice, but it seemed to be a short-grain rice. ]Recently, paella seems to have evolved in its own way, with domestic bomba rice being produced, and some restaurants, such as Michelin-listed Ginza restaurant "[a:13205229,Aloceria La Pansa]," that deliberately use domestic haenuki rice to make paella, but this paella also has a variety of ingredients on top, looks good, and was delicious. Recommended. As for the inside of the restaurant, [u:It's quite spacious. There are hangers near the entrance. I wonder if there are some luggage baskets. I think there were only two people in the restaurant, a man who was cooking and a woman who was a waiter. The service was also polite. The food is varied, tastes good, and above all, it's a great place with good value for money. It's convenient because you can pay by credit card. ]Thank you for the meal. With such good food, it's a shame that you can't drink Spanish wine by the glass, but other than that, I have no complaints. Well, I once heard from a sommelier at another store that serving wine by the glass means it's difficult to manage after opening, but as a wine lover, I hope so. I'd like to come again. Please come if you like.
