The bar "APOLLO" is a one-minute walk from JR Inage Station. It is on the fourth floor of the building that formerly housed Karaoke Arthur, and as the name suggests, the interior is modelled on the Apollo Theater (although I've never heard of Apollo Theater). Traditionally, they open at 12 o'clock for a late lunch, but due to the current state of emergency declaration, they opened 30 minutes earlier, so my long-awaited first visit was fulfilled. Of these, the one I had this time was the "Hot Chili Burger". ■ Hot Chili Burger (with fries) 1,500 yen A hearty, thick patty that grabs your stomach the moment you see it. The cheese dribbles out so generously that it completely covers the generous patty. Moreover, if you look closely, you can see that the cheese is clearly red in color. In addition, you can see something chili-like with your eyes, which is a warning sign for this burger. The first thing that hits you at first bite is the rich flavor of the cheese. The cheese is full-bodied, but it's not soft enough to melt, and it clings firmly to the bun. The next thing that hits you is a strong spiciness that's two levels higher than you'd expect. In addition to the spiciness, you can also feel a slight sourness, and although it's cheese, it also acts as a sauce, adding a unique flavor to the bun. The bun is also nicely crispy and cooked to perfection. The sauce and cheese soak into it, and along with the aroma of wheat, you can feel the deep flavor from the core. And as for the main ingredient, the patty, it's incredibly thick and juicy. The meat juices that pop out like they're about to burst out, further enhancing the flavor. Naturally, the combination with the cheese mentioned above brings out a flavor that is just as good as the strong spiciness brought by the cheese. The spiciness is not overpowered by the dignified flavor, and the balance between the two is superb. The juiciness and flavor of the patty are not overpowered by the spiciness alone, and the richness of the cheese is also strong. All the toppings have a meaning, making this a superb burger.
