数店舗の「麺屋こころ」をFC展開するなどの飲食業を主体とする「株式会社GCCP」が2017年秋葉原にオープンさせた「大衆イタリアンかね子」をこの4月に船橋駅至近にオープン。
屋号の「かね子」は同社の代表取締役の名前が由来と思われる。
船橋駅周辺は「加賀屋」や「増やま」などと言った強豪の大衆居酒屋が数多くひしめくエリアだが、その中にあってユニークなパッケージの居酒屋として一際鮮烈な存在感を放ち、早晩人気店となることは必至。
イタリアンを標榜するが、揃えるおつまみメニューのベースはもつ煮込みや枝豆などといった古くから居酒屋で定番となっているものばかり。
これらをイタリアンな方向性の味付けにすることにより他との明確な差別化を図っている。
どのメニューも一様に低単価で、味付けも洋風なので若者にも人気。
私も仲間と3人で色々なメニューを試してみたが中でも特に出色の出来だったのは”イカゲソアラビアータ”490円。
辛味がバシっと効いている所が酒のアテにピッタリで、イカゲソとブロッコリーがたっぷり。
値段なりにポーションは小さ目だが、その分あれこれと色々なおつまみを頼みやすいのがまたよい。
店が名物と推す”イタリアンなもつ煮込み”もバジルが効いた味付けで、ひとまずここに来たならばオーダーすることをオススメしたい。
酒類も安い。
なかでも”やかんサワー”980円は実に酒飲みには嬉しいドリンクメニューだ。
”鍋ハイボール”なるものを出すお店もあるが、氷が大量に入っていることによってドリンクそのものの量はさほどお得感がなかったり、経時とともに氷が解けて薄くなるといった弊害があるが、こちらのやかんの中身は全てが酎ハイで、氷は別になっている。
中ジョッキくらいのグラスにフツーに氷を入れた状態でたっぷり5杯分楽しめてこの値段はかなり良心的だ。
今どき税抜き表示だったり店内喫煙可だったりと新規オープン店にしては時代に逆行している部分もあるが、その他のパッケージは先進的だ。
あくまで大衆居酒屋なので店内の喧騒は激しく、静かにお話しをしたいというシーンにはまるで不向きだが、安くワイワイと飲み食いするにはオススメ。
