(First visit in October 2022) Due to various circumstances, I have been busy visiting Kashiwa, where my parents live, every day. I left my parents' house at night and returned to Makuhari, and visited this place with my wife to eat dinner on the way. I used to live in this area, but I have never visited before. We visited at 19:00, and there were a few tables filled. It was a weekday, so it wasn't crowded. It felt like everyone was from the neighborhood and came to have a relaxing dinner. We ordered Fried rice with char siu (1,020 yen) Horan Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) (1,120 yen) 2 spring rolls (420 yen) I would have liked to drink some alcohol, but I had to hold back (lol) The fried rice was served on a strange plate in about 10 minutes. The char siu in this place is not boiled pork, but seems to be real char siu. The moist and fluffy fried rice finished with soy sauce is quite tasty and delicious. The saltiness is just right and it's very easy to eat. The spring rolls are...normal. I ate them with soy sauce and mustard as usual, but my wife said they were tasty so I tried them with ketchup too. It took on a Western flavour all of a sudden and it wasn't really a spring roll (lol) Finally, the Horan Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) was served. It had a dark sauce and not much Chinese cabbage. At first glance, the noodles look cooked like hard Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles), but they were actually normal noodles. The sauce was quite tasty. It's worthy of the restaurant's name. What's unique about it is that it contains quite a lot of meat, and not just pork, but also large pieces of chicken meat. It was a very flavourful and satisfying thick Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles). It's a shame I couldn't have it with a highball, but it was a very satisfying dinner.
