Part 450 of the Meals at Work series. After visiting a customer in Kashiwa, I was thinking of having lunch and decided to go to Takano's, which I had researched beforehand and seemed to be a good motsu stew restaurant. The store was a little hard to find in the back alley of Takashimaya on the west side of Kashiwa Station, and had a Japanese-style interior and exterior with a counter and table seats. It was around 1pm when I visited, and there was only one other customer drinking lunch. There is one male clerk. Today I ordered the Motsu stew set meal (large serving of rice). The food arrived within 1-2 minutes of waiting. There was also a stir-fried offal dish, but I chose the offal stew, which is the name of the restaurant, and a large serving of rice. The breakdown of the set meal is rice, green onions, and pickled radish, except for the main dish, and the rice is quite generous. Other than the offal, the motsuni only contains konjac, which has a lot of flavor and goes well with the rice.There was also shichimi on the table, so it was good to add a different flavor. It was a good Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) lunch with a simple set menu. It also had a nice atmosphere for a night drink.
