My best friend, who I had known since we were in the same class in the first grade of elementary school, decided to live in the Pure Land 30 years ago, and on the anniversary of his death, four of my friends and I went to the Toei Yashira Cemetery. After visiting the grave, I decided to have lunch near JR Shin-Yashira Station, but since there were no suitable Cafeterias within sight from the station, I ended up going to Hana no Mai. There were four groups of customers, and in the semi-private room at the far end, from the sound of their voices, it was a group of four young men, having a lunchtime drink and chatting loudly, making the atmosphere as lively as the coronavirus. In another semi-private room, a group of local wives were in the middle of gossiping and laughing out loud. We caught a glimpse of the reality of daytime Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) amidst the coronavirus pandemic. We were each seated at a semi-private table by the window, one room away from the lively group. After examining the menu, everyone ordered `` Tempura Soba (cold)'' for 1,200 yen. It was lunch time at Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), but since two of us were planning to drive after we got home, we decided not to drink alcohol and to remember the deceased with the cold water and food provided. The food was served within 10 minutes of ordering. Tempura is shrimp, salmon, eggplant, lotus root, and shishito pepper. Before eating soba, I ate my favorite food, lotus root. Although it was crispy, the rawness of the lotus root remained, and it was surprisingly delicious. The eggplant seemed to soak up too much oil through the batter. Tentsuyu - Soft and gentle flavor The soba noodles are slightly dark in color, and when I first put the soba noodles into my mouth, the slight aroma and taste of soba spread throughout my mouth. Probably Nihachi Soba. The soup is a little thick, but tastes like bonito. Hana no Mai's Tempura soba was surprisingly delicious, in a good way. We also met again for the first time in a while, but due to the coronavirus, we left the party early without alcohol.
