ＪＲ常磐緩行線北小金駅南口には『香香ラーメン』さんがあって、先日レポさせていただいた。店頭には餃子のノボリがたなびいているのだが、今回は、やや、ややこしいのだが、北口にある『香香餃子房』に行ったことについてレポしよう。
店名のように『香香餃子房』さんのウリは餃子だと思うのだが、どうも現実は二の次三の次のようで、餃子は付加価値＋2くらいのアイテムのようだ。なので、お店は至って普通の中華屋さんのようで、上海・四川・広東…何でもござれ的なラインナップが並び、ランチの５・６番手くらいに、今回頼んだ「トマトと玉子の刀削麺（餃子 or 半チャーハン）」（800円・税込）が並んでいるくらいだ。しかも餃子は半餃子だった（大振りではあったが。あ、あと焼餃子だったョ）。餃子の感じが、何か『鎌ケ谷餃子軒』さんに似ているような気がした。気のせいだろうか…。
トマトと玉子の相性がいいのは周知の事実で、洋食のオムライスなんかがその好例なのだけれども、こちらのお料理はトマトピューレに溶き卵をかき入れたような、餡かけ風ラーメン（with 麺はグズグズのようで生煮え…という苦行）で、餡かけ風スープがともかく重く、麺がいただき難いこと甚だしい、だし的にスープ感に欠ける、クソ暑い夏の日には修行のような一品であった。
一度会計しようと思って、また席に戻っておしゃべりしているおばちゃんらや、なんだか通じているようで、通じていないような中華料理問答をしているおじいちゃんなど、すっかり地域に根差しちゃっているお店でした。
