千葉県松戸市二十世紀が丘萩町、千葉県道１８０号線・松戸原木線沿い、街道沿いであり、住宅街の一角にポツンと独立して存在する、不思議な立ち食いそば店『だるま堂』さん、駅前とか、バスステーションとかでもあるまいに、強気な経営スタンスです。国立千葉大学園芸学部・松戸キャンパスのお膝元ということもあって、若者からの支持が多い所が強みのようです。
「春菊天そば」（税込490円）を、店外設置のチケットベンダーで食券購入しました。店内は立ち食いといいながら座り席がたっぷりです。が、私は立ち食い席をセレクトしました。おつゆは真っ黒、揚げ玉が浮いている、辛口タイプです。更にそこに春菊天がトッピングされていますから、油分多めです。そばは至ってノーマルという感じで、刻みネギがのっています。ゾロゾロとそばを啜って、春菊の香りを楽しんで、店を後にしました。
