祝日の11時半頃、お伺い。
先客が1組おりましたが、難なく着席。
成田山新勝寺に向かう山道沿いにあるお店ですが、すぐ近くに駿河屋さんや川豊さんなど著名で行列必至のお店もありますが、結論から言うと、菊屋さんに伺って大正解でした。
まず、お昼時早めではあるものの、すんなり入店出来る。
歴史ある外観内観と、落ち着いた雰囲気の店内。
そして、なんと言っても鰻のクオリティーの高さ。
・国産鰻重 肝吸、香物付き ¥4,950
・国産白焼 ¥4,400
香ばしく焼き上げられていながら、身はふっくらで肉厚。
タレは甘すぎず、好みの味付け。卓上に別途追いダレがあり、万全。
山椒も振り掛けることで、スパイシーに味変。
ご飯を無限に食べられそう。
白焼はわさび醤油で頂きますが、こちらも国産の上質な鰻で、つい日本酒を頂きたくなってしまいましたが、ノンアルコールビールで我慢…。
他店に全く引けを取らないどころか、むしろ菊屋さんで良いのでは。と感じさせられました。
