土曜日の夕方、5時半頃、木更津駅を下車し、東口周辺を散策。
早速呑みたい気分で、一軒目のお店、庭鶏さんに来訪。
店内はコの字形カウンターがあり、早い時間帯ですが、お客さんもソコソコ入っている。
先ずはホッピーで一杯。
お通しは枝豆です。
店員さんは皆さん活気があり、明るい雰囲気が好印象ですね。
メニューは焼き物をはじめ、鶏を使った料理が幅広い。
また、カウンター客用の一品つまみも有るようです。
僕は、オーソドックスに焼き鳥。
鶏レバー、鶏皮、モモ肉、ツクネを2本づつ、いずれも塩で注文。
焼き方は炭火でじっくり、時間をかけて焼いている感じです。
鶏レバーは表面柔らかく、中のレアー感が残っていて美味しい。
鶏皮はパリッとなる手前で、皮の食感が良く、モモ肉、ツクネも適度な焼き加減。
ホッピーはナカをおかわりしたとこで、鶏の出汁を楽しめる料理をと、メニューをみる。
ラーメンも目を引きますが、迷った末、お茶漬けにします。
10分程で着丼、スープは鶏の主張少な目でしたが、
トッピングのササミが、とても食感良く、印象的でした。
しばらくすると、予約の団体客が入ったりで、店内は込み合ってきました。
次回も再訪して、色々な料理を食べてみたいですね。
