I went there on the 1st for half-price kamaage udon. It went from 330 yen to 170 yen. I wonder if Marugame Seimen's prices have gone up a little since before. Even though the price of wheat is going down, they probably won't add to the price reduction. But, well, it's been months since I've had kamaage udon, and I still can't complain about the quality of Marugame Seimen. It's a sale day, so even if you're in a hurry, the udon is chewy and satisfying. I felt bad about only having udon on a sale day, so I had squid tempura instead. The price increase for Tempura makes more of an impact... It's excellent, even though lunches that cost less than 500 yen are becoming extinct. I visited at 5pm, and it took about 20 minutes to get a table.
