四国八十八か所お遍路の旅、今回は愛媛県内を回りました。44番大寶寺、45番岩屋寺と難所を回り、松山市を目指します。松山市内には8か所の札所が点在しています。お遍路の旅で贅沢だとは思ったのですが、せっかくなので道後温泉に泊まります。この日お世話になったのはオールドイングランド山の手ホテルさんです。道後温泉のホテルは接客、食事、温泉、どれもレベルが高いです。街をあげて観光に取り組まれている感じがします。オールドイングランド山の手ホテルさんは、イギリス調のホテルで、和が中心の宿の道後温泉の中で異彩を放っています。到着して少し街を散策した後、レストランで夕食をいただきました。
テーブルは少し距離を置いて配置されており、真ん中にはアクリル板の仕切りがありました。
フルーツと小エビのカクテル。小さなグラスにイチゴ、エビ、青い野菜はグリーンリーフでしょうか。さっぱりしたカクテルでした。
春のオードブル サラダ仕立て。サーモンや鯛といろんな野菜、見た目も味もいいです。
コンソメロワイヤルとそら豆のスープ。コンソメスープの下に、そら豆のムース入り茶碗蒸し、そら豆も入っています。兵庫県より一足早く、そら豆をいただけました。
魚介のナージュ仕立て。きれいに焼かれて皮も美味しい鯛の下には、エビやアサリ、一番下には白い魚介の練り物、皿の上に海の幸が満載でした。ソースも美味しいです。
お口直しのソルベ。柚子風味だったかしら。
牛フィレ肉のステーキ。さすがに我が故郷の但馬牛や淡路牛のフィレの柔らかさにはかないませんが、丁寧に焼かれていてイタリアンソースもよく合っています。ソースをパンにつけて食べたかったのですが、もうパンはありませんでした。
デザートとコーヒー。ケーキはイチゴのムースのショートケーキ。コーヒーは豆挽き立て、淹れたてだと分かる良い香りと美味しさでした。厨房に良いマシーンがあるのでしょう。全体を通してとても美味しく楽しい内容のディナーでした。魚料理に練り物を使ったり、コンソメにそら豆を入れるなど、ちょっと違った味わいで楽しめました。ご馳走様でした。それとワインセラーには1000種類以上のワインがあるそうですよ。
