どこかで鯛めしは、南予（宇和島）派だと書きましたが、東予の鯛めし（＝鯛の炊き込みご飯風）も好きです。それぞれに鯛の旨味を活かす工夫・知恵があって、素晴らしい食文化だと思います。
今治駅改札横の売店で、永年美味しい鯛めし駅弁を提供されている二葉さんのお食事処が今治駅前にありますので、この日は店舗にてランチをいただくことにしました。
リーズナブルな日替り定食などメニューも豊富なのですが、折角なので松花堂弁当スタイルの鯛めし定食をお願いしました（食後のコーヒー付き）。
鯛の旨味を充分に吸って炊き上げられたご飯は、茶飯風の色合い、そこに青海苔が瀬戸内の小島のように散らされています。一口食べると、ふくよかで優しい美味しさが口いっぱいに拡がる。おかず、副菜も豊富でお弁当用に作り込まれているので、冷めていても美味しくいただけます。
来島海峡の海の幸を上手に仕上げた今治名物らしい味わいでした〜。
