Echizen Crab Feast
We chose this inn because they had a plan that was perfect for my husband and I, who want to eat Echizen crab but can't eat a lot. For dinner, we had a delicious plan that allowed us to enjoy one Echizen crab in various ways, including sashimi, boiled, grilled, in a hot pot, and as a rice porridge to finish off the meal. The grilled crab and crab hot pot were cooked right in front of us, so it felt like a live performance. I was a little worried because the man who cooked the crab was young and inexperienced, but since we were from the same town, we were able to have a lively conversation and enjoyed the meal. In terms of service, it was different from that of long-established Ryokan, and the young staff were frank, but I personally felt relaxed and thought it was good.

The next morning, after enjoying delicious Echizen crab to my heart's content the night before, I went to the lobby at the designated time, where a waiter showed me to my room. The breakfast venue was separated from other guests by a sliding door, so it was safe even during this time of COVID-19. The breakfast menu was colorfully arranged with small portions of various vegetables, and the dishes were beautiful, so just looking at them got me excited (lol). The hot food was warm and healthy, and I was able to fully recharge my energy for the day.
