In a homey atmosphere, you can enjoy delicious food including their famous yakitori!
"Seihachi" is popular with both men and women for its yakitori, which is grilled with a secret sauce that has been around for 40 years, and its pork trotters, which are packed with flavor. With delici |
We went there for dinner on New Year's Eve in Fukui. The first Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) we went to was a izakaya near the station, but it was fully booked, so we walked towards the downtown area and went to this yakitori restaurant as our second bar. The interior is spacious with mostly counter seats, and has a relaxed atmosphere. A medium bottle of beer is 500 yen. There are many types of local sake, and the prices start from 600 yen, making it an affordable option. The appetizer is fried tofu, which I imagine is miso-dressed. ◆Potato salad 400 yen The seasoning is sweet and soft. The amount is small for the price. ◆Oden The flavor was well-absorbed. The light taste made the broth delicious. ◆ Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) from 90 yen The ordering rule is to order two of the same type. The price alone is cheap, but the size is small, so we ended up ordering a lot. However, all the Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) was very delicious. ・Tine...It is made from a parent chicken and has a firm texture. The more you chew, the more flavor comes out. ・Waka...It wasn't too fatty, but it was soft and delicious. ・Negima...This was pretty average. ・Liver...It had no smell and was juicy, so this was also high quality. ・Shiro...It had a nice chewy texture. ・Neck...It was juicy with lots of fat. ・Tsukune...The crunch of the pork cartilage was quite good and had a fairly firm texture. I had one bottle of beer and two cups of local sake, and the bill came to just over 4,500 yen. It was more expensive than I expected because of the appetizer fee and the deliciousness of the food, so I ended up ordering more Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers). I guess the characteristic of yakitori in Fukui is that it attracts customers with its low price per skewer. "Waka" and "Liver" were really delicious. The service was also very smooth and it was a Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that left a good impression.
