福井市での夜。二次会で入ったお店。どこに入っていいか分からず、外観だけで判断してここに入る。外観はとても洗練されたような小料理屋の雰囲気であったが、中に入ると大型テレビがどんと置かれたカウンターとお座敷からなる普通の居酒屋風情で、雰囲気は今一つであった。金曜日の8時過ぎということでほぼ満席だ。さて、日本酒の揃えはそれなりで悪くはない。せっかく福井に来たので、早瀬浦と黒龍の九頭龍を飲む。そして、料理は造りの盛り合わせと水茄子。お造りは、鯖、鯛、イカ、鳥貝など。福井の店はそれほど訪れたことはないが、刺身類で外したことはない。これは金沢とかとの違い。金沢は観光客相手の店が結構多いが、福井は地元客相手の店がほとんどだからというのがもしかしたら理由だろうか？適当に入った割には、味という点ではなかなか嬉しいお店であった。日本酒もまともなものが飲めた。
