When I went to a certain Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) on a Friday night, I was turned away because they didn't have a reservation. I went to this place nearby on a Friday at 8:30pm. There are 7 counter seats and 3 table seats in the back. Four of the counter seats were occupied, and two of the tables in the back were also occupied. I sat at the counter as usual and ordered a draft beer, Sapporo Black Label Barrel Draft (480 yen), as usual. The raw food arrived along with the three appetizers and the meal started. The 3-piece set was avocado, cauliflower, and komatsuna dip. Orders are written on paper, so I ordered the doteyaki set (880 yen), which comes with 5 skewered cutlets, pickled cucumber (280 yen), and 2 pieces of fried chicken wings (380 yen). Cucumbers are pickled in salted kelp. The sauce was quite salty (*_*) and the raw cabbage came. It's a standard dish at Fried Skewers restaurants. The source is, of course, ``Do not double dip! ” is said. When you scoop it up with a spoon and pour it over the cabbage, the sauce is Worcestershire-like but not too spicy. The skewers have arrived.
