The other day, my family took me out to eat for my birthday. When I told him that I wanted to try some German beer, he booked me a seat at this restaurant after doing some research. "MORRIS'HIPPO" Hakata Riverain store. An English pub located on the first floor of Hakata Riverain, facing the Hakata River. There are indoor seats and terrace seats along the river, and if the weather is nice, you can relax and enjoy your meal on the terrace. Unfortunately, it was raining that day, and it was falling quite heavily. I knew from the forecast that it was going to rain, so I had reserved indoor seating, thinking that I wouldn't be able to use the terrace seating. This time I had only reserved a seat, so I sat at a table and ordered drinks and food. At this restaurant, orders are placed at the counter and payment is made each time. First of all, there are drinks and 3 food items. First of all, I wanted a German beer, so I chose Paulaner's Large (happy hour price 1050 yen, tax included). An unfiltered white beer with a fruity and mellow taste, you can enjoy it in Paulaner's official glass. For the food, we chose Sausage Platter (550 yen, same price), Pizza Margherita (1100 yen, same price), and Fish & Chips (Regular, 650 yen, same price). Each family member chooses a drink and toasts! My daughters love Margherita, and we often eat it at other restaurants, but the margherita at this restaurant had a nice spread of cheese, and even my daughters were surprised. The fish and chips pictured is also a famous British dish, but the fried fish at this restaurant was quite large and the meat was plump. For my second beer, I chose Belgian Hoegaarden (Medium, happy hour price 650 yen, tax included). This white beer, which I've had several times in the past, has a well-balanced and elegant flavor, and I always find it to be an easy-drinking beer. Food options include "Shrimp Fritters with Spicy Chipotle Mayo Sauce" (450 yen, same price) and Kalbi Steak & Garlic Rice (900 yen, same price). The aroma of garlic rice whets the appetite. This is going to be a big hit. For my third beer, I had the shop's original craft beer, ``Maurice Hazy IPA'' (Medium, happy hour price 850 yen, tax included), made by Fukuoka Craft. This beer has a fruity aroma but is not too sweet, and has the bitterness of hops typical of IPA.This is also delicious. As for food, I ordered another margherita at my daughters request. It's really good. There was a live broadcast of the Hawks vs. Swallows open game on the monitor in the store, so I watched it. It looks like a place where you can enjoy Sports Bar style. They have a variety of beers, but the selection of ate was pretty good, so I think I'll go have some more sometime soon.
