午前中に福岡での用事が済んで、お昼に皿うどんが食べたくなりました。まりもとピカイチと山庄で悩み、最も最寄りで初めて訪問のこちらへ。
やや寒い日の正午過ぎ、並びが多ければ他所へ行こうかとも考えつつ見てみると並んでるのは意外にも二人のみ。いつも結構な行列を横目で見ながら通り過ぎるだけでしたので、今日はラッキーかも。早速列の後ろにつきます。
並んでいる間にメニューをいただき、5分程で入店、カウンター席に通されたら座る前に皿うどんと焼めしのセットをお願いします。
水を一口飲んでぼーっとしていると、カウンターごしに目の前から腕が伸びてきて皿うどんが到着します。まずは麺をひと啜り。まりもの皿うどんがデフォルトで頭にあるので、それに比べると柔らかいというかチュルンとした麺です。味はやや濃いめ、キャベツの甘みが際立ちます。三分の一程食べたところで焼めし到着。かなりパラパラ、胡椒が強めで、これこそ炒飯ではなく「ご飯を焼いた」焼めしです。今まで色々焼めしを食べてきましたが、かなり理想系に近いものです。慌てて食べたせいで喉につかえそうになり、卓上ポットの中華スープを飲んで喉を潤します。気がつけば先に焼めし完食。残った皿うどんもペロリと平らげてお勘定です。
並ぶのは嫌いなのに、15分ぐらいなら並んでもいいかなと思う皿うどんと焼めしでした。でも次は定食ものもいいかな？
