久しぶりの九州。
遅めに到着した博多の夜に、宿泊先近くの人気店とあったこちら「麺や兼虎」天神本店さんにてつけ麺を頂くことにしました。
入口の券売機でまずは選ぶのですが、時間も少し遅めでしたので肉盛りとかお腹一杯食べるのは避けようとベーシックメニューの一つである「味玉濃厚つけ麺（1,200円）」を頼んだのですが、店員さんから中盛りまで無料です、と言われて即「お願いします」と吊り上げられる始末。
こちらのつけ麺は魚介豚骨つけ麺とのことで濃厚な魚介豚骨スープに極太麺を燻らせて啜り食べるわけですが、このスープにはたっぷりと魚粉が盛られており、これを絡めながら啜っていきます。これが深みのある旨味を増幅させてる感じです。
スープには大きなチャーシューがゴロゴロ、極太メンマ、青ネギ、海苔、そして味玉が入っており、麺をスープにつけては一口一口麺と一緒に具材を味わっていきます。
麺は一旦冷水でシメてあるので、スープに浸けても少しひんやり感が残っている感じです。
つけ麺はあまりしょっちゅう食べる方ではないのですが、美味しい一品だと感じました。
最後は目の前のポットにある鰹出汁、これをスープに混ぜて最後まで頂くのですが、これがまた食後のほっとした安心感を感じさせてくれます。
少し薄まるのかもしれませんが、麺を浸けて食べるときにこの熱々の鰹出汁を投入しながら食べると温かい感じで食べられるのかとも思いました。
宿泊先近くにこんな人気店があってよかった。
さらには私が行った時には若干空いててよかった。
そして期待を裏切ることなく美味しいつけ麺でよかった。
