城南線の薬院駅近くと国体道路の西通り入り口近くを結ぶ細い通りにある『ナチュラリスト』
通りから50mほど奥に入ったところに南国リゾートをイメージさせるような青と白に塗り分けられた門がありまして、夏に見たときにはスッキリと晴れ渡った青空もあってとてもステキに思えたことから気になっていたのであります
それで今日、お邪魔してみますと…
冬のどんよりとした曇り空の下では映えることがないばかりか、隣地にある400年以上の歴史を持ちながらも廃寺となっている“安養院”からの落ち葉がエントランスに吹き溜まっていることもあって寂れた感じに思えて…
門を潜ると比較的キレイに掃除されていることから、門まではお店の敷地ではないのかも知れませんが残念に思えます
そんなことを思いながら入った店内には3卓10席とカウンター4席が並んでいまして…
思いのほか小さなお店に思えたのですが、個室もあるようですしガーデンテラスではバーベキューもできるようですね
カジュアルフレンチとのことで、2,000円台でいただけるコース料理がありまして、お店の一番人気は前菜からスープ、メイン料理、パスタ、デザートと続く「エクセレントコース」だと説明いただきましたが…
今日はお手頃なプレートランチで良いと、10品ほどの中から「季節野菜と本日のお魚ソテー」をいただきました
このランチにもパンとスープが付くとのことで、提供されたのはかぼちゃのポタージュでありまして、濃厚なかぼちゃの味わいに身体が温まります
メインのプレートに盛られるたっぷりなサラダは冷たくクリスピーなレタスがメインとなっていまして、そのみずみずしさに脇役にまで手抜きなくきちんと手間がかけられているであろうこと窺い知ることができたのですが…
今日のお魚ソテーは“メカジキ”であるとのことで旬だからこその脂が乗った生カジキを期待したのですが、さすがにそれは過剰な期待であったようで、解凍カジキ特有の身のパサつきが感じられましたし…
盛り付けたお皿が寒さの影響で冷めたかったのか、たっぷりなサラダが盛られたこと冷めてしまったのか、もしくはジェノベーゼソースの香りが飛ぶことを避けるために温められていなかったのか、センスあるお料理だっただけにソテーがすぐに冷めてしまったことが残念でありました
