This is a small Italian restaurant run by a husband and wife chef and sommelier who trained in various parts of Italy, including the island of Sardinia in the Mediterranean Sea. Although the restaurant has a casual feel, the ingredients, preparation, and presentation have a neat feel to them. It's also open for lunch (reservations required), so I think it's the perfect restaurant for adults looking for a high-quality Italian Cuisine lunch. It is located in a quiet area of Shirokane, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City. About 8-10 minutes walk from Nishitetsu Hirao/Yakuin Station. Next door is a greengrocer called Yaosho. The outside looks like a typical low-priced trattoria or osteria, but the food and wine are very gourmet, so I was disappointed in a good way this time (lol). There is a signboard for lunch at the store, but reservations for lunch must be made at least one day in advance. You can also check the latest information on the official Instagram, but I think Tabelog is a good reference for the menu contents and prices. This time, I received a lunch course of 3,850 yen (tax included). *One drink order required The contents may change each time, but it consists of homemade bread, assorted appetizers, pasta, main dish, dolce, and cafe. This is the content of a certain day in March 2023. There are 11 seats in total, mainly counter seats, and one table. The drink menu (for lunch?) had about 5 to 6 types of aperitifs, wine/beer, non-alcoholic drinks, and after-dinner drinks. I had a glass of rosé wine from Sardinia, and my colleague had a non-alcoholic beer from Italy. Assorted appetizers. Roast Hanami chicken. The skin is grilled to a crispy texture. The meat is moist and juicy♪ It goes well with the sweetness of the balsamic sauce and kumquat paste. Dessert is freshly made tiramisu. Chocolate banana cake with milk Gelato. Both the tiramisu and cake had a rich flavor. I had an espresso drink, but you can also choose coffee or tea.
