(2024.02.01) Speaking of eel, we think of summer, but if you want to eat delicious eel, it's winter when it's full of fat. I found a store that was holding an event offering half the regular price on that day, so I waited for today, the beginning of February, to visit it.It was located in a group of apartments near Ohori Park. A certain ``Love and Eel'' We head towards the shop as if we are drawn to the aroma of grilled eel sauce that wafts from Showa-dori to the intersection where we enter the alley where the shop is located.By the time we arrived at the shop after 11:20, there were 30 people in attendance. There was a line of customers waiting... It was a small shop with 9 seats at the counter, so I prepared to wait at least 90 minutes and lined up at the back of the line. (4 slices)," "Bamboo (5 slices)," "Plum (6 slices)," "Ippon (8 slices)," and "1.5 (12 slices)."At the time of the event, "Matsu" and "Ippon ” I had two choices... Without hesitation, I chose ``Ippon'' and decided to have both kabayaki and shirayaki.The rice was cooked in a clay pot for about 2 cups each, and was piping hot. The eels that are grilled are thick domestic eels, mainly those from Kagoshima Prefecture, and the skin is fragrant while the meat is plump. But... I couldn't get a sense of elegance from the visuals of the eel sticking out of a rather small bowl, the shirayaki had a strong salty taste, and the sauce for the kabayaki was not to my liking. No... I like that they didn't do that even though there was room for one more seat at the counter, but I also think it's a shame that the stools were lined up. There were a little over 10 customers, and they say they are open until 2:00pm without running out of items, so it seems like they are aiming for after 1:00pm.
