I came to an Okonomiyaki restaurant that I had been interested in for a while. When I arrived around 12:00 when the store opened, there were already a few customers ahead of me. I guess it opens at 11:30? I sat at the end of the counter. Order pork balls for 850 yen. Okonomiyaki here seems to be fairly voluminous, so I'm looking forward to seeing what it's like. The chef skillfully grills it on the iron plate. As more and more customers came in, the food on the griddle gradually became lively. The food was cooked in about 15 minutes. The sauce and green seaweed were covered, and two types of mayonnaise were served: regular and wasabi mayo. I drizzled regular mayonnaise all over it (the mayonnaise didn't come out very well lol) and added wasabi mayonnaise to my liking. The owner of this restaurant seems to have trained at Fukiya, and the taste of Okonomiyaki is exactly like that. It's been a while since I've had something like this, but the chewy texture has gradually become heavier. The taste of the sauce is spicy, so I use mayo to adjust it. Okonomiyaki is very popular in Fukuoka, and this restaurant seems to be popular as well, but it might have been a little heavy for me ^^; Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) might have a different taste, so I'd like to try Yakisoba (stir-fried noodles) next time.
