店名:千石焼

福岡市東区香椎の西鉄香椎駅東側にある香椎名店街に入居するテナント店です。近年、西鉄香椎駅周辺は鉄道線の高架化とともに区画整理されましたが、こちらはそれ以前から周辺で営業していた老舗の甘味処らしいです（以前は別の場所で営業していたようですが）。
店舗前にはガラスケースに、イチゴ大福・さくら餅・饅頭等が並んでおり、その隣には回転焼機があり、少し甘い香りが漂っています。
店内には元気の良いおばあちゃんが回転焼を焼いておられました。回転焼きは１個９０円とおやつ感覚で安いです。福岡でよく見かける蜂楽饅頭よりはやや小ぶりではありますが、白黒あんがあり、特に黒あんは粒あんしっかりでぎっしり詰まっています。重量感がありますね～。
店内飲食スペースもありました。学生の街だけあり、下校時に寄り道する生徒も多いことでしょうね。
