社会の教科書でおなじみ、金印が発見された福岡志賀島。玄界灘を見渡せる国定公園に立っているのが休暇村志賀島。
ここの夕食バイキングは、地元の素材を生かしたものが多い。ワカメが有名らしく、ワカメ料理がたくさん。また、海の幸もおいしい。醤油は４種類の中から選べる。磯の香りが漂う浜汁も美味。魚介類を使った丼物があって、これは日替わりらしい。
バイキングで豚骨ラーメンが食べられるのがおもしろい。福岡の屋台をイメージして、自分で炭火の上で焼き鳥を焼くコーナーもある。
基本プランなら１泊２食付きで休日11500円というお手頃価格。さすが休暇村だ。
温泉は、「金印の湯」と称している。露天風呂が源泉で、強塩泉。肌にヒリヒリ刺激するが、湯上がりは心地よい。塩の感覚が苦手な人には、内風呂がある。こちらは井戸水に少しだけ温泉を混ぜているのでなめらかなお湯。
全室オーシャンビューで、夕日が美しい。
