Enjoy handmade soba noodles, seasonal dishes, and local sake from all over the country. The morning chicken Grilled skewer and Kawara Soba are popular. Smoking allowed.
A hideout for drinkers, located on a small alley about 3 minutes walk from Nishitetsu Ohashi Station. This restaurant is perfect for everyday use, where you can enjoy sake with carefully selected dish |
I took a taxi from ``Nikomi'' in the south of Hakata Station and was guided by the manager to this shop near Nishitetsu Ohashi Station. This is Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) where the owner is making soba noodles, and it looks interesting because you can eat kawara soba noodles. Kawara Soba is a specialty of Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, but I wonder if the reason why you can eat it has something to do with the owner's hometown. (I forgot to check...) You can also eat regular soba noodles or warm ones, but for some reason I recommend this Kawara Soba. I stopped drinking alcohol and started drinking oolong tea. My companions started off with beer and sake...Mae (Saki), Shinsei No. 6, Densake, Haruka, Nogomi (we drank a lot ^^), and snacks were horse mackerel pickled in nanban and dashimaki egg. This dashi roll is seasoned with soba soup, and has just the right amount of sweetness (^^) The organizer was wondering what kind of soba to finish with, so he chose Kawara Soba, which he was not familiar with. I had eaten it once at a Japanese Ryokan, but it had been a while so I was looking forward to it (*^^*) The ingredients for the Kawara Soba included shredded beef, tamago, green onions, and chopped seaweed. and lemon. The color of the soba is a faint green, so I guess it's brown soba. I forgot to check whether the chef was making the chasoba, but the sauce was a little sweet. You may have different tastes, but I liked it. The part of the soba that touched the piping hot tile was charred, which made it even more delicious (●^^●) The soba set came with roasted eggplant and white dressing. I enjoyed the simple flavors of each dish, making the most of the ingredients. Since we visited around 10pm on a weekday, there were already four of us, so we had a great time drinking and eating while chatting with the owner. It seems like my senior really hit on Kawara Soba, so I definitely want to try it again. Thank you for the meal!
