餃子といえば、宇都宮や浜松が有名ですが、博多も負けてはおりません。
ということで、福岡餃子巡りの旅の模様をお送りします。１軒目は『馬上荘』、繁華街からは離れた西新エリアの住宅街にあるしにせ餃子店。その創業は昭和32年まで遡り、味のある建物の佇まいがその歴史を物語ります。店内に設置されたテレビで放送されるホークスの試合に一喜一憂する姿が、地元密着型の店であることを感じさせます。
これが博多が誇る馬上荘の餃子。
珍しい俵型の形状で、第一印象はその柔らかさ。箸で持った瞬間にも柔らかさを感じるし、口に入れた瞬間もふんわり食感に驚きます。餡においては玉ねぎの甘味が印象的で、これが肉の旨味と上手に握手をしております。油をあまり使っていないようで、これも軽やかな印象を強めているのでしょう。一人最低１０個以上が注文のルールなのだが、むしろもっと食べたかった、、、美味い！
ニラや卵を使った料理にも定評あり。餃子はじっくり焼き上げるので、待ち時間はこの子達に相手をしてもらいましょう。今回はニラとじ（もつ入り）をいただきましたが、これに酢醤油をかけるとまた美味いんだ。ご馳走様です。
