先日、地下鉄大濠公園駅をスタートして筑肥線筑前前原駅までのウォーキングに行った際のお昼。
国道202号を進んで、小戸から今宿方面へ、博多湾の海沿いを歩いてきた。
ぼちぼち、今宿あたりでお昼を探すかな～と思っていると、今宿の街並みに入る手前のところに、なんだかおしゃれなカフェレストランが建っているのが目に入った。車も頻繁に駐車場に入って行ってる。
そのお店が「HICKORYSeaSideCafe」。2021年9月、今宿青木の国道202号沿い、海の見える場所にオープン。「HICKORY」といえば、天神に2店舗を展開している老舗のイタリアンレストランだけど、この今宿青木のお店はその姉妹店という位置づけのようだ。
入店してみると、大きな窓から海の景色が見える開放的な雰囲気。今回は1人で入店したのでカウンター席に案内されたが、その席も窓を挟んで海と相対する形になっている。
メニューを見る。ランチはパスタまたはリゾットがメインとなる「ヒッコリーランチコース」（1950円・税込）、もしくはパスタランチ（1450円・同）が主で、他に肉料理もしくは魚料理がメインとなる「メインディッシュランチコース」（3000円・税込）がある。
今回のワタシはお試しということもあるので、最もベーシックなパスタランチを選択。これにはメインのパスタまたはリゾットに加え、サラダ、自家製パン2切、そして食後のドリンクがセットになっている。メインは日替りのパスタ4種とリゾット1種から選ぶことになっているので、ワタシは「タコとブロッコリーのトマトソース」パスタを選んでみた。なんとなくトマトソースの気分だったのでね。
まずは、サラダが運ばれてきた。彩りも良くて、野菜の量もセットのサラダにしてはけっこうあったかな。
続いて、パスタと自家製パンがやってきた。パスタは刻まれたタコと、ブロッコリーが入っているんだけど、ブロッコリーの歯応えが硬すぎず柔らかすぎず、実にいい塩梅だったなぁ。トマトソースはガーリックが程よく効いていて食欲をそそる感じ。パスタとの絡みもとてもいい。
自家製パンは、1切がガーリックトーストで、もう1切はどうやらイカスミを練り込んである模様。どちらもバターのいい香りがして、とても美味しいパンだった。
食後にはアイスコーヒーを注文。海の景色を眺めながらしばしゆったり。
「HICKORY」はもともと、リーズナブルにパスタランチをいただけるお店として知られていて、この今宿青木のお店も、リーズナブルな価格でおいしいパスタのセットをいただける。人気があるのもさもありなんという感じだね。
そのうち、家族も連れて訪ねる機会があるといいねぇ。
