This was a visit before the state of emergency was declared. Nienohama 10 years ago, when I moved from Kitakyushu to Fukuoka, I fell in love with the city at first sight. It was lined with 14- or 5-story apartment buildings, similar to the Anou-Hagiwara-Kumanishi area of Yawata-Nishi Ward, where I lived at the time. The station looked like a Shinkansen station and was cool. The name Nienohama came from the fact that Empress Jingu, the wife of the first Emperor Jimmu, used to dry her kimono (underwear worn under the 12-layered jacket) on the beach. Nowadays, Meinohama and "no" are often omitted. The sophistication may also be a sign of the times. Meinohama was also the location of Kyushu Tandai, which ruled the Kyushu region and played a diplomatic role with the Joseon Dynasty. Mongol invasion led by Genghis Khan (Mongolia). Meinohama was also where a fortification was built in preparation for the second Mongol invasion. It flourished as a post town on the Karatsu Highway, and the buildings and place names from that time still remain. From the Meiji period to the Showa period, it flourished as a coal mining town. It's hard to imagine from today's Meinohama, which is popular as Fukuoka's most fashionable town, but there were mountains of rubbish around Marina Town, and chimneys stood around Toyohama Danchi. The moon has come out The moon has come out The moon has appeared on top of my mountain The chimney is so high that the moon is full of smoke It goes without saying that the famous Coal Mine Bushi was also there in Meinohama. Meinohama Coal Mine, a bar that changed its business form from Dining Bar atelier I don't know what the owner's intentions were, but it's a good way to convey the history of Meinohama. However, the menu is stylish and Creative Cuisine that is not suitable for Meinohama Coal Mine. Therefore, the owner's intentions are not clearly understood, and there is no signboard in the first place. The Neapolitan and pizza that have been around since the atelier days are exceptionally delicious. It was open until 6 a.m., so Meinohama's nighttime social gathering was where people from Meinohama's restaurants would gather after hours with their customers. The Neapolitan made with fresh cream was so delicious that I went there just to eat it. However, the business model changed and Napolitan disappeared. However, I want to eat Neapolitan! Why did you lose it? Neapolitan was revived in response to customer feedback. It takes a long time to make, so it's a taste of happiness that can only be served when there aren't many customers. Once you eat Neapolitan from this restaurant, you won't be able to eat anything else.
