This is my 5th visit to "Sushi Hirano" near the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. The other day, I visited to celebrate my husband's birthday. Ever since I first visited the restaurant for my wedding anniversary dinner last October, I've been hooked on the chef's sushi☺️ The counter-only restaurant has a simple and nice space with a calm atmosphere. The owner and his wife are warm and friendly, and even though it's a high-class restaurant, you don't have to worry about going there. The course progresses from snacks to nigiri. The main alcoholic beverage is Japanese sake. I usually drink wine, but since they don't have wine, I enjoy the sake recommended by the owner. If you let them know your taste in alcohol, they will recommend a drink that matches your taste and the dish, so it might be a good idea to leave it selection to them. It's also attractive to be able to watch the chef's beautiful and careful work up close at the counter. We enjoyed delicious food and drinks again this time! Every time you visit, you'll discover new seasonal delicacies. This is my favorite shop and I want to continue going there. We highly recommend it to everyone! ︎
