On the last night of my business trip to Kyushu, I was able to find this restaurant that was close to my hotel, even though most restaurants had reservation on the day. I thought it was the counter, but I got it at the tatami room. It's a horigotatsu. I ordered the grilled mackerel. I've heard that it's Local Cuisine of Kokura, so it's perfect as an accompaniment to rice or sake. The store was dimly lit, so all the photos I took were dark. Maybe it's because most of the things I order are pottery-based. I didn't try the soba, but the atmosphere and atmosphere of the restaurant is such that you can't help but drink sake.
