Kitakyushu is the first stop. The night view of Mt. Sarakura was wonderful, but it was cold. I wanted to warm up my completely cold body, so I looked for Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) in Kokura. There was a fire in the restaurant district a few days ago, and there were barricades and there was a burning smell.The store I was looking for was not burnt, but on a closed day, I tried to jump in while walking through the shopping district, but I was in Kokura. There are many young people in this town. There are host-like touts wandering around, which is a bit annoying. So I went a little far from the busy area and stumbled upon this store. When I opened the sliding door, I saw the elderly owner behind the counter, and there were no customers at the counter. I paused for a moment, but when I looked closer, I saw that there was a horigotatsu tatami room in the back, and several groups were drinking quietly. Very nice atmosphere. Looking at the menu, you can enjoy the food and sake of Kitakyushu, as well as soba noodles. I wanted to go to a store like this. Drink sake with assorted sashimi, braised sardines, and mentaiko with green onions. The warmed sake was good, but this was my first time drinking warmed shochu. It is warmed pre-wari shochu. And the best part is the handmade soba noodles. It was a good store.
