最近、定期的にお邪魔している八幡西区エリア。
「銀河のちゃんぽん」さんに惹かれつつも、あっさり目かな？と思い直し、気になっていたうどん屋「麺 和田や」さんに行ってみることに。
店外にデカデカと「ごぼう天」と書かれている通り、極太のごぼう天が売りの模様。
メニューを一通り確認して、ごぼう天と海老天がセットになった海老ごぼう天うどん@780円をチョイス。
食感を楽しみたいので別皿提供をお願いしました。
10分俟たないうちに海老ごぼう天うどん到着！
ごぼう天は謳い文句通り極太で食べ応えのある食感。
ほぼごぼうをそのままぶつ切りにした感じ。
個人的にはささがきタイプか薄切りタイプが好きなため、少し強めのごぼうの存在感に「ん？」という感じ。
また別皿にしたせいかも知れませんが衣のバリバリ感を強く感じてしまい、個人的には今ひとつでした。
それに比べて海老天は衣と身のバランスが良く、ごぼう天とは違い食感をいい感じに楽しめました。
麺は福岡ならではの柔めの食感。
やや甘めで昆布の効いた出汁にいい感じで合います。
次回はごぼう天以外のメニューで楽しみたいとこです。
