小倉南区下曽根駅近くにある焼鳥屋。小倉(旦過)にも支店を出すだけのことはあり、下曽根界隈では総合力なら「たかやま」と並びトップクラスの焼鳥屋ではないかな。下曽根にそんなに焼鳥屋ないやろ、と言われそうだが(笑)。

知人に「勝屋」のカルト的なファンの方がおり、小倉で飲むというときも、彼に店を任せるとわざわざ旦過まで歩いて勝屋旦過店に連れて行ったりと、「隙あらば勝屋」を狙っているくらい。なにがそこまで彼を惹き付けるのかは、本人も分からないそうだが(笑)。
ただ、そんな彼も下曽根本店には行ったことがないということで、じゃぁ一度行ってみようやと数名に「飲みに行くぞ」の声が掛かった。もちろん、飲みの誘いに滅多なことではNOと言わない私Ribotにも声が掛かる。
店は、下曽根駅から少し歩く。そこまでの距離ではないが、駅前の飲食店を差し置いてここだけ店が満員に近かったので、やはり地元ではなかなかの人気なのだろう。というか勝屋マニアの彼、人を誘っておきながら予約していなかったらしく、あわやわざわざ来たのに入れないという事態になっていたかもしれない(笑)。そうなりゃ僕が「たかやま」あたりに案内していたかもしれないが(苦笑)。
さて当店、スマホ(というかWeb)にて注文するシステムになっている。今回の席では比較的下っ端かつ、こういうのを率先してやる僕が注文係になったが、あいにくスマホの電池がなくなりかけていて、ちょっと冷や汗。
メニューだが、焼鳥、居酒屋メニューのほか魚もけっこうそろっている。僕のごり推しで鰆のタタキを注文。これ、岡山で食べると絶品なんだが、さすがにここのは臭みがあり。「魚へんに春」と書くだけあって少し時期が早かったか、あるいはやはり餅は餅屋なのか。ま、焼鳥屋で食うには充分に上等な味ではあるけれど。
焼鳥は、値段は普通だがサイズが比較的大ぶりでお得感あり。大半の串メニューは100円台で、これはさすがの味かな。お店の人からオススメされた「つくね(卵黄付き)」、ハンバーグ型に成形したつくねを卵黄でいただくスタイルは、他店でもちらほら見かけるメニューだがここのも旨い！
調子にのってけっこう飲み食いしたら、1人5,000円超えてしまったけれど(汗)、満足度は相当に高かった。旦過店(大勢で行ったので一切写真が撮れなかった)もいつかまた再訪したいね。
