On the way back from Bungotakada to Kitakyushu. [Sigiriya] from Sri Lanka Curry came to mind first as a dinner candidate. When I searched, they moved across the street. It is a new nagaya-like building that was originally a parking lot. It's restaurant on the first floor, so it's easier to see people and enter the store again than the previous second floor. Maybe that's why I'm happy that lunch service has been resumed. (Closed on Sundays) I entered the store at 18:00. A lady from the staff said, "The chef is going out to buy it, so I'm sorry, but everything except the basic curry will be after I come back." It happens sometimes in Ethnic Cuisine restaurants, so I don't mind waiting, but if it takes a long time, I wonder if the cost of the coin parking is a little worrisome .... I was thinking about it, and soon the chef was back. The chef used to show his skills at [Herramiya] in Fukuoka. The Sri Lankan curry menu consists of the following three dishes. * Chicken curries * Pork curries * Potato curries * There are also daily curries. The basic level of spiciness is pork > chicken > potato, which can be spicier (+) or less (-). Spiciness plus is charged. My personal impression of this level setting is that it is harsh for Japanese. The lady staff explained to the guest after me that "Chicken spiciness 0 (basic) is about medium spiciness of Japanese curry, and pork 0 is about spicy." but I realized that <<Chicken 0 is about dry, pork 0 is much hotter than that>>. I also heard a voice from a customer after me saying, "It's quite hard (unexpectedly)," and one person seemed to be choking a lot. If you have a tolerance for spiciness, there should be no problem. Pork orders are served with pork gravy in a separate container and pork meat on a plate. I think the [Chicken Curry] has a coconut milk taste and is not picky. The base has a strong taste, the richness of coconut milk and the freshness of curry leaves and spices are delicious. It also has like lemongrass stems. Spiciness - 1 is quite spicy. Zero spiciness is spicy for me, but as for taste, zero might be better balance. [Pork Curry] has a thick and deep taste. It has the flavor of cloves and black pepper (Is it?) and the deep aroma of herbs. It has an astringent and deep taste against the bright and light taste of chicken curry. This one also has a number of lemongrass stalks. M, who is not used to Ethnic Cuisine, seemed to have a rather bitter taste, but I definitely prefer pork gravy. But the problem is how spicy it is ... ^^; Let's order the spicy-2. But the balance gets worse .... The chicken meat is also delicious, but the pork meat I had at the previous restaurant was excellent, so I think I'll have pork next time. The plate "Chickpea Curry" and "Okra Curry" are both mild with plenty of coconut milk. Delicious. Carrots are like pickled vegetables without spices. I really appreciate the acidity of the mixture.
