It is located along Prefectural Route 402, which connects Kashiwanomori intersection and Higashimachi intersection, near Shin-Iizuka Station. Although it is a little far from the center of town, the parking lot in front of the store is always full of cars, and is always nearly full on weekends. It seems that there are quite a few times when the place is full and you have to wait. Since it's such a popular restaurant, I decided to visit it after 10pm on a Monday when there seemed to be fewer people. I think it was amazing that there were so many people even at such times. Since I visited alone, I was taken to the counter. This is a large Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), with many employees and a wide variety of menu items. In addition to the usual dishes such as Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), teppanyaki, and fish dishes, we also have Western Cuisine such as gratin, kawara soba, and even Sushi. However, perhaps it is the fate of restaurants with many menus, but looking at other people's reviews, it seems that some menu items are hit or miss. (The Sushi wasn't delicious, etc.) This time, I mostly followed the restaurant's recommendations for the day, so there wasn't a dish that I didn't like. First of all, draft beer and appetizer. The appetizer is Tempura, which is really tasteful. First of all, I ordered sesame mackerel and sea bream kabuto aradaki from the recommended dishes. There was a sashimi platter on the menu, but since the portion was for two people, I decided against it.・Sesame mackerel ¥600 Sesame mackerel sliced thinly like sashimi. Although there are many shops that serve cubes, it is quite rare. I unconsciously added sashimi soy sauce, but of course it wasn't necessary. When mixed well with wasabi, it was fresh and easy to eat.・Tai Kabuto Aradaki ¥880 Is this also one of the shop's proud creations? This shop seems to be good for fish-related items. It is simmered in a deliciously sweet and spicy manner. There's nothing special about it, but it was easy to eat, and the eyeballs and cheek meat were delicious. Next time I thought I would order Meat Dishes.・Fried chicken skin Gyoza / Dumpling ¥400 I ordered this without really knowing what it was, but what came out was Gyoza / Dumpling with chicken skin. Gyoza / Dumpling are also stuffed with minced meat, so it's double meat. However, the texture of the skin is good, which makes it a good choice. Unfortunately, there are only 3 pieces. I wish I could raise the price, but I wanted about 5 of them. The following two were recommended on the store signboard (photos omitted as it was dark and hard to see), so I decided to order them. I had a second helping of Namachu here (photo omitted) - Chicken Nanban ¥480 This was a hit. The content is amazing at this price. It's quite large and the chicken is fried crispy. Tartar sauce is served separately and can be served as a drizzle or as a dip. I took it all in stride. The acidity is moderate and goes well with tartar sauce. Best of all, the meat was tender and the skin was crispy.・Kawara Soba ¥780 Actually, I had heard about Kawara Soba, but this was my first time trying it. It is a specialty of Yamaguchi Prefecture, and it seems that it is made quite faithfully to the basics. Here, too, there is a ton of tea soba noodles, Kinshi tamago, and beef on the tile. To be honest, it's my first time, so I don't know how to eat it. When I try to mix it, the ingredients seem to spill out. I ate it little by little, carefully mixing the ingredients with the soba noodles. The great thing about kawara soba is that the heat of the tile allows the soba to gradually brown to a nice degree. This was also the case, and I was able to thoroughly enjoy the change in texture. Thank you for the meal. I ordered mainly from the restaurant's recommended menu, and it was very good. The bill was in the 4,000 yen range, but it was enough to satisfy me. Kawara soba in particular was listed in an obscure part of the menu, so I was glad that it was recommended and I was able to try it. Although it is a recommended restaurant, it is always crowded with people. If you're going, it might be a good idea to make a reservation in advance.
