2017/10 I've been busy with work for a while and haven't been updating Tabelog ( ˘ω˘; ) Anyway, this time I went to Saaya, an Italian Cuisine restaurant in Kurume City. I was invited to visit because they were holding a 10th anniversary event where pasta plates were 500 yen each. This event is only available on October 8th. I visited after 2pm, after lunchtime, but the restaurant was full of customers! Some people had been waiting in line for about an hour at lunchtime... A formidable 10th anniversary (^▽^;) Anyway, on this day they only served three types of pasta and no wine or other things. They used fresh pasta as a special treat for the day, and we were given a menu to choose from three types of pasta: tomato sauce, Japanese style, and cream sauce. We chose the Japanese style and cream sauce. We waited a while and our food was brought to us. Japanese style pasta 500 yen (10th anniversary) This pasta was topped with wild vegetables. The noodles were a little thicker than the usual pasta you see, weren't they? Let's take a bite! The chewy noodles are coated with a sauce that has a strong Japanese dashi aroma. The crunchy texture of the wild vegetables is interesting. It's like a pasta version of wild vegetable udon, isn't it? lol Cream sauce 500 yen (10th anniversary) This is a cream sauce pasta with spinach and bacon. The noodles are the same as the Japanese version. Let's have a bite! This pasta goes better with the sauce. The noodles are chewy, so the cream sauce is more delicious as it sticks to the noodles easily! The cream sauce, bacon, and spinach go perfectly together! Personally, I preferred the cream sauce. It was clear from the bustling restaurant and the customers greeting the chef as they left that this restaurant has been loved by customers for 10 years. Congratulations on your 10th anniversary. Thank you for the meal (๑´ڡ`๑)
