Yakiniku (Grilled meat) Introducing the Kurume Ichibangai branch of the bar bar Nikumaru. A popular Yakiniku (Grilled meat) bar from Kokura in Kitakyushu City opened in September 2022 in an arcade called Ichibangai, a 5-minute walk from Nishitetsu Kurume Station, so we paid a belated visit. When I came to the front of the store, it looked more like a fashionable and stylish Restaurants or Japanese-style meal store than a Yakiniku (Grilled meat) store. And there is a poster of a Yakiniku (Grilled meat) bar where you can order and taste from 90 yen per slice. Of course, there are a variety of set menus, such as a one-person set and a "nikumaru" set, which allows you to enjoy the best of the menu. When you enter the restaurant, you will find a U-shaped counter surrounded by a large kitchen, with no tables. There is a charcoal grill right in front of the counter, and the food is grilled right in front of you. On the counter, there are rock salt and black pepper in a mill container, and six kinds of Nikumaru's homemade condiments. From the top, there are green chili miso, lemon salt, wasabi (Japanese horseradish), yanggangjang, hot chili oil, and white truffle curse. As I will describe later, all of them are delicious, but the truffle salt, which is a combination of 12 different spices and is called "Curse of the White Truffle," is extremely tasty. You could probably eat rice and drink just by licking this salt and green pepper miso. If you order more, you can get sesame oil, salt, grated garlic, and grated oni (roughly grated daikon radish plus homemade ponzu), so there are plenty of items to change the flavor. This time, I reserved in advance via Hot Pepper for a luxurious meat course featuring the original lantang & black beef. I also ordered the meat Sushi, which I was curious about from the menu, and the sea urchin and salmon roe on top Sushi, and the thick pudding of happiness. I mean, the menu is quite extensive, and if anything, there are only things that interest me, so this is a restaurant that I will have to visit many times (;^Ω^) First of all, the beef stew was served as an appetizer. Of course it is delicious eaten as it is, but it was also delicious with salt lemon and green chili miso! Paradise Sushi. It is the ultimate in luxury, with a heaping pile of sea urchin and salmon roe on top of the black wagyu beef Sushi. The beef is so tender that you can't distinguish it from tuna. It is topped with sea urchin and a generous amount of salmon roe. This is seriously amazing. From there, the course began, but first, the original lantern. This lantern is made by opening a thick slice of tan moto, filling it with an egg yolk marinated in tamari soy sauce, and grilling it slowly over charcoal. I have had the same type with green onion inside, but I have never seen it anywhere else, as they call themselves the original rantang. The lanterns are baked over a long period of time. Yes, here, the waiter bakes these items that are difficult to judge how they are baked. I had the grilled lanterns cut into four equal pieces with scissors, and they were extremely tasty! The tongue itself has good meat quality, and the rich and well-seasoned egg yolk is added to it, making it extremely tasty and goes well with rice. Seared Sirloin Yukke Sushi You may not be able to tell what this is at first glance, but it is a thinly sliced sirloin well arranged in a pile on a bed of vinegared rice, lightly seared and topped with a sweet soy sauce sauce. The meat is also very tasty, but I felt that there should have been a larger portion of rice, or perhaps just half of the meat as a snack, and then eat it with the sushi rice. So in a sense, it was like an appetizer that you can enjoy while watching the lanterns being grilled. Four kinds of Japanese black beef. The four types of beef were core, daikon, friend triangle, and triangular belly, and all of them were very tender and had a great texture. They were grilled in turn, and not only were they tender, but the meat had a rich flavor, which was really delicious when served with the truffle salt I mentioned earlier! Yakiniku (Grilled meat) The roast was so delicious that I don't remember the middle part of the meal. This was cooked in front of us by the staff. Thinly sliced loin with sashi was served in a thick broth shabu shabu and served in a container with yam and egg yolk. I am speechless, this is too good to be true. And the same loin meat is now served in a meat chazuke. The loin is placed on a bed of freshly cooked rice, and the meat is poured over the rice in a bowl of dashi (Japanese soup stock). I had it with shiso and wasabi (Japanese horseradish) as condiments, and it was also very tasty! To finish off the meal, we were served a thick pudding that melted in our mouths! The quality of the beef, which is grilled over charcoal in front of you, the delicious sauce, the wide variety of original dishes, the many items on the table to change the flavor, the delicious kamado rice, and the overwhelming sense of satisfaction that comes from all of these factors! It's also great that you can order from a single piece of meat, making it easy to stop by. It was, to put it mildly, the best!
