福岡県朝倉市にある、老舗の葛やさん、廣久葛本舗さんに御邪魔しました。
文政2年というと1819年ですが、どうやら米沢藩主の財政再建で有名な上杉鷹山と叔父甥の間柄
だった、秋月藩主秋月長舒が藩政立て直しのため、葛紛の生産を始めたそうでございます。
駐車場がとなりにありますが、縦に長く、300メートルぐらい進むと下る形で河原の前にあります。この河原があの渥美二郎の寅さんシリーズのロケ地になったようで、立て看板がございました。駐車場スペースはそれでも6台程度です。
名物が太閤葛餅だそうですが、夕方近くに行ったものですべて売り切れ。
葛と、梅干しがございましたので買いました。
梅干しに関して言えば、紫蘇の香りが素晴らしく皮が柔らかく濃厚。
葛はお湯にとかしていただくと、粘り気が素晴らしい。
葛紛が創業以来完全に国産だそうでございます。
入口入って左側にテーブルが３つほどあり、
飲食スペースになっておりましたが、大挙して押し寄せたため入れず、
持ち帰りと致しました。
葛に関しては生姜味がありまして、これまた国産の生姜紛を使っているそうですが、
香りも素晴らしく味も深みがあり美味しかったです。身体が温かくなりました。
