別府からの帰路中、台風4号前日。九州横断自動車道の高速「あさくら」で降り、道の駅は商品なく、
ランチは奇遇でありつけお腹も満足。
一般道通って帰り道・・。
同行者が「あぅ、ここ開いてる」。
聞くと、コロナ前の土日には警備員もでいるほど地元では人気菓子店。
開いているのなら寄りましょう。
暴風・大雨なので駐車場は入り口の一番近いところへ。
止めて店内へGO。
店内は昔から続く豆菓子中心に
和菓子、ケーキ、シュークリーム・・種類豊富で、所せましと並んでます。
基本の豆菓子。。小麦粉を砂糖水で練った生地をのばしてサイコロ状に切り、丸めながら焼き上げます。そして機械で回し焼きながら砂糖蜜をしみこませる工程、素朴な味。
チーズ大福。専門の職人のつくりたて。
シュークリーム。こちらはオーダーが入ってから中のクリームを注入。
和菓子は色々と揃っているので
ドライブ帰りのお買い物には楽しい。
