In Fukushima City, there are many Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that compete with a rather one-sided menu. There are many Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that only serve meat and no Seafood. Because of this, it is rare to find Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that both Seafood lovers and meat lovers can enjoy. This is Sumibiyaki Kyubei, a rare Izakaya (Japanese-style bar). It is a popular restaurant, so I usually pass it up because I thought it would be impossible to get a reservation, but this time I decided to go as soon as it opened. There was a counter seat available... I was lucky. It seems that the charcoal grill has a dedicated staff member, which is also very promising. They also have a wide range of sake, mainly from Aizu. ◇Raw Oyster with ponzu sauce ◇Grilled yellowtail collar ◇Isobe mochi ◇Yakitori ◇Stewed Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers) ◇Dashimaki egg ◇Miso dengaku ◇Various drinks Personally, I think the raw Oyster with ponzu sauce are the best, and there were about 8 of them, so the cost performance was good. Then there was the huge yellowtail collar, the fatty collar grilled over charcoal was sweet and fragrant♪ I ate the meat with a double fork. Yellowtail has a unique green smell, like sweetfish topped with gelatin, and is better when grilled over charcoal than when eaten raw. And when you think of Izakaya (Japanese-style bar), you think of Yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), miso dengaku, and isobe mochi. The simple, standard dishes grilled over charcoal are also excellent. The menu is very extensive, and this is the Izakaya (Japanese-style bar) that represents Fukushima City.
