I arrived at the restaurant around 7:10pm on a weekday. There were 5-6 parking spaces in front of the restaurant. I had heard in advance that the parking lot was always full, but I was lucky to find a spot. *Please note that it seems to be an unspoken rule to park close to the restaurant. The restaurant was full, so I sat down in the waiting area inside the restaurant to wait. While I was waiting, the staff handed me a folding fan, and when I unfolded it, I saw the menu written by hand in the shape of a fan. I verbally ordered the following, which is the restaurant's signature menu. ■Nitei-style grilled cutlet [2000 yen] After a while, I was shown to a table seat on the raised platform. First, the waiter was very polite and offered me a warm towel and gyokuro tea. The gyokuro tea was quite bitter and delicious. Next, a huge salad was served. It was piled high with vegetables from Koriyama, including radishes, cabbage, and corn, and was served with white and black dressing. The restaurant recommended that I blend the former and latter in a 2:1 ratio, so I did. It was quite light and had a unique taste that was hard to describe. Finally, the Jintei-style grilled cutlet, red shiso rice, nameko soup, and pickles were served. For the Jintei-style grilled cutlet, you grind up the white sesame seeds yourself and then mix it with the sauce on the table. When you take a bite, the pork is as soft as chicken and has a large crunchy batter. It has cheese inside, which gives it a new flavor. There is also a ham and cheese dish with shiso leaves wrapped in this unique batter, which is even more original. It feels like the pinnacle of Creative Cuisine. There is also rock salt on the table, so the trick to finishing the meal is to change the flavor as you eat. The white rice with shiso is also quite filling and increases stomach satisfaction. The nameko soup is also delicious, with plenty of nameko and tofu. There are also plenty of pickles, so it feels a bit salty. You can have as much rice and salad as you want, but I barely managed to finish it, so I gave up on having more. At the end, roasted green tea is served along with a cold towel. This roasted green tea is also very delicious. Overall, the portions, the taste, and the service were all excellent, and I felt that this restaurant deserved to be included in the Top 100 Restaurants. Payment is by cash only. Thank you for the delicious meal. Tabelog rating at time of posting: 3.68
