会津の美味しいランチを求めて、『グリル けやき亭』に突撃。
13時半前に入店すると、先客は2名。
メニューは、事前に食べログでリサーチ済み。
だが、お目当ての『福島牛サーロイン』は取り扱いが完全に無くなり、フィレも値上げ。
結局、『福島牛フィレ肉のカツレット(ビーフカツ)』と『ライス』をオーダー。
そして運ばれてきたビーフカツは、俵型で思ったより小ぶり。
ちなみに東京では牛かつが流行って久しいが、ビーフカツとあって洋食で、似て非なるもの。
ビーフカツにナイフを入れると、断面は中心に赤みが残るレアで、繊維を感じるほど柔らかい。
フィレ肉とあって脂よりも肉の旨味を感じ、サクッと軽い薄衣との相性が良い。
ソースは見た目からタルタルかと思いきや、塩味は程々で粒マスタードもアクセントは控えめ。
乳製品を使ったようなまろやかさが感じられる、一風変わったオリジナルソースでした。
福島牛の旨味に満足して、撤収。
