Customers making ala carte reservations cannot reserve just Noodles or rice dishes. We ask that you budget around 5,000 yen per person. Also, if you cancel on the day of your reservation, we will charge you a cancellation fee of 100% of the course price. Please make your reservation with this in mind. Furuta, the Tokyo Chinese restaurant where our owner is, has a two-year waiting list, but we were able to reserve a counter seat three days in advance. Currently, the owner's eldest son is cooking the pot. I think the price of Chinese Chinese Cuisine is largely determined by the ingredients as well as the cooking technique. If you use abalone, shark fin, or caviar, it will be over in no time. It's good to pursue the ingredients, but I wanted to enjoy the high level of cooking technique compared to general Chinese Cuisine, so I ordered the 6,050 yen lunch course. Now, this day was a weekday in the middle of Golden Week. You can also order a reasonable weekday-only lunch menu (Noodles and rice dishes) for about 1,000 yen, so I finished the course with fried rice and added dandan noodles from the weekday lunch. The starter was fried shrimp wonton. I ate it in one bite. The sweet meat juice oozed from the inside. The skin was thick and not crispy, and it was moist. It was very delicious. Next was a cold dish platter. The beef tendon with an elegant aniseed aroma, the smoked cherry salmon, Century egg and tofu were especially delicious! Century egg egg tofu was very soft and the sauce of very finely chopped ginger was delicious. It would also be good to pour it over steamed chicken. The spring rolls filled with plenty of plump shrimp were Other excellent. The main fish was salmon in a cream sauce, the meat was tender pork, and the dish ended with fried rice with lots of cherry shrimp and dandan noodles. The fried rice was moist. The dandan noodles were more like a hemp type than a creamy sesame paste. The thin, curly egg noodles went well with it. For the first drink, I had a Jacob's Creek Piccolo. Then, I had Shaoxing wine to go with the food. I compared the 5-year, 10-year, and 20-year old varieties. They were served in wine glasses of 60cc each. Personally, I preferred the 10-year old, which had a good balance of mellowness and depth. The 20 year old has the longevity and elegance of a Grand Vin wine, but I wish it was a little younger and smoother. However, all of our Shaoxing wines are very delicious, and one bottle is too much, so I ordered the 5 year old, which comes in a half bottle. The 5 year old is also incomparably better than other stores, and if you let it air out after pouring and drink it slowly, the sharp edges are smoothed out and it is quite smooth. It is about a 15 minute walk from Gifu Station, but if you come to Nagoya, I recommend taking the 20 minute trip to Gifu Station to visit this store, as it is a wonderful store with a solid sense of skill.
