"Chikyu YA Bento (boxed lunch)" has remained unchanged since the company's founding
We visited for lunch on a weekday. (´▽`)ﾉ It was quite empty compared to other restaurants. (It seems to be almost always like that.) It's a restaurant with a nice atmosphere, and the semi-basement space is really nice. You can sit wherever you like. The lunch menu has a wide range of items, from standard set meals to rice bowls. We ordered the "Chikyu YA Bento (boxed lunch)", which seems to be a specialty. My friend showed me a photo on Instagram saying, "This is what the Bento (boxed lunch) looks like." The pork looks delicious... (´▽`) I thought it was a daily Bento (boxed lunch), but I asked, "What kind of Bento (boxed lunch) do you have today?" The owner said, "We haven't changed the contents since the restaurant opened! It's the same as always!" I said, "(°▽°)!" It was really just like the picture. The main dish and the side dishes were almost the same. There was a wide variety of items, such as salads, fried Simmered dish, simmered foods, grilled fish, pork, etc., and the contents were filling, and it looked luxurious because it looked like a large bento box. The overall flavor was light and Japanese. Even if you don't order a large portion, the rice is quite generous. There are a lot of side dishes, so I was full. Payment is by cash only. I visited for lunch on a weekday. It's a hidden gem and the place was empty. I'd previously ordered the most popular "Chikyu YA Bento (boxed lunch)," so this time I decided to try the "Grilled Mackerel with Black Pepper" from the grilled fish set menu. It takes about 20 minutes as the chef is the only one doing the cooking and serving. The "Grilled Mackerel with Black Pepper" was grilled very beautifully. The black pepper was effective, and it was a different taste to the usual grilled salted mackerel that you don't often find elsewhere. Maybe it goes better with alcohol than rice?
